year 2017-18

The DLLE students’
enrollment for the academic year 2016-17 is 704. The faculty-wise

II.
First Term
Training Programme for extension work teachers and student’s managers was organised by the Dept. of Lifelong Learning &
Extension, University of Mumbai on Friday, 18th August 2017 at from
10.00 a.m. to 2.00 p.m. at Patkar College, Goregaon (west). One student manager
per faculty attended the training.
Following teachers attended the training;

III.
An orientation of DLLE Commerce and Self Finance Courses’ students
was organised on Monday, 21st August 2017 at 10.40 a.m. in room No.
404 Annex.
IV.
DLLE unit
organised a talk on ‘Consumer Awareness
and Financial Literacy’ by Consumer Guidance Society of India on Tuesday,
22nd August 2017 in Juhu Jagruti Auditorium at 10.00 a.m.
V.
An orientation of
DLLE Arts and Science students was
organised on Friday, 1st September 2017 at 10.40 a.m. in room No.
603.
VI.
Second Term Training
Programme for extension work teachers and student’s managers was organised by the Dept. of Lifelong
Learning & Extension, University of Mumbai on Wednesday, 6th December
2017 at from 10.00 a.m. to 3.00 p.m. at St. Francis Institute of Management and
Research, Borivali (west). One student manager per faculty attended the
training.

VII.
DLLE Career
Fair was organized on 9th, 10th and 11th
January 2018 in college admission area. Total 152 career options were displayed
over three days. From commerce 101, Arts 14, Science 25 and Self Finance
Courses 12 students participated in Career Fair.
VIII.
On 28th Feb 2018
DLLE students accompanied by Dr. Mittal Chauhan visited Cardinal Gracious
Home for Dying and Destitute, Santacruz West. The visit was organised to generate
compassion and create awareness among students. As a noble act DLLE funds were
used to buy medicines for senior citizens
IX.
Students of Department
of Life-long Learning and Extension, Mithibai College distributed anti-pollution
masks in the first week of March 2018 to watchmen, cleaners, garbage
collectors etc. who face increasing pollution almost every day. The students
also reached the traffic policemen, hostel cleaning staff, garbage truck
drivers, etc. in their locality and expressed their gratitude for all the
service that they render for us and distributed masks to them. The areas
covered were Vile Parle, Dadar, Dahisar, Malad, Borivali, Juhu, Lokhandwala,
Andheri etc.
X.
On the occasion of
International Women's Day, 8th March 2018, the DLLE Unit of Mithibai
College hosted a program for the students, teaching and non-teaching staff of
the college. It was conducted in order to pay homage to the fighting spirit in
every woman of the college. The program was conducted in the foyer area and was
graced by the presence of our Principal Dr. Rajpal Hande. Students from DLLE
presented spoken word poems and famous speeches by famous women spokespersons,
which portrayed the importance and strength of the women of our society.
XI.
The DLLE
department organised an activity on 12th March 2018 in which
students distributed badges and stickers on the theme ‘Do not waste food’
to different food stalls to spread awareness among customers who visit the food
stalls. The students talked to food vendors to adopt practices that would not
lead to food wastage. The objective of
this activity was to make citizens aware about how they can help in reducing
food wastage in a country where thousands of people still go to sleep empty
stomachs.
